Background:
My interest in pottery started in high school in the mid 70's. Through the years, pottery was an on & off again thing, stemming around children and holding a real day time job. Now that the kids have been nurtured, the grandchildren and clay consumes all my spare time. My creations are based around cooking and serving in volume with simple forms.
Research & Development (R&D)
We have three children (young adults) and grandchildren to test our pottery for durability and function, plus we use them for critiquing new ideas for their likes and dislikes. To tell you the truth, they can be very critical at times which is a good thing. Even our sweet fur baby gave her critiques on some un-glazed pots as shown in the photos below.

Our Stoneware:
We actually use our own pieces here at home for parties and just plain cooking so if the piece does not quite fit into the need, we know how to make changes for better practical usage.
Experimenting with several different colored glazes, we have settled on and can't get away from the richness and depth of Cobalt. Other colors will pop into our color spectrum from time to time.
We make our own glazes using a lot of different raw minerals that is dug from the earth. Most of our glazes are made in quantities that can fill a garbage can.
The stoneware and glazes are Lead-free, Non-toxic, Food Safe and fired over 2200 F degrees. All pieces can be used in the Oven, Microwave, Refrigerator and Dishwasher. Usage and Care Instructions will accompany each purchased piece.
Each piece is hand thrown on a potters wheel and fired in a kiln using electricity for fuel. We use some slump/hump molds to form our handbuilt pieces, so I guess you could say that any piece that you purchase are one-of-a-kind with multiple attempts to reproduce it. This is why we say "no two pieces are identical". If you look closely, every piece will have a special characteristic all its own.
We guarantee no two pieces are identical
